Beach Chairs ~ We have a limited number of beach chairs, boogie boards and beach umbrellas available to borrow from our Front Desk on a first come, first served basis.

Beverages ~ Bottled water and other drinks are available for purchase at our Front Desk. Grind-on-demand coffee machines and filtered water dispensers are available all day in our two breakfast locations.

Bicycles ~ Bicycles may not be kept in the rooms nor on the decks. Please keep your bicycles on your vehicle when not in use.

Books ~ We have a book trading shelf at our Front Desk. Please help yourself when you need a book or leave any titles you don’t want to carry home.

Breakfast ~ Our daily continental breakfast is included in your room rate. Click for more information.

Candles ~ Candles may not be used anywhere on our property.

Cancellation Policy ~ Cancellations made with 14 or more days’ notice will be refunded all but $30. Date changes made with 14 or more days’ notice will have a $30 fee. Cancellations or reservation changes made less than 14 days prior to your arrival date will be charged one night’s rate. Early check-outs and cancellations received on the date of your arrival will be charged in full. If you find you are unable to keep your reservation, we encourage you to send family or friends in your place.

Check-In Time ~ 3:00pm or later. Please call us if you expect a late arrival.

Check-Out Time ~ 11:00am. We thank you for your cooperation. Cars may be kept on our property until noon on the day of check-out.

Deck Rails ~ Please do not hang items over or on the rails. Drying racks are provided in most rooms for your convenience. If you do not have a drying rack, we will supply one upon request.

Dinner Specials ~ Sea Chambers offers discounted dinners at some of our excellent local restaurants. This discount is available from March 28 through June 27, and October 1 through November 16, 2024. We are happy to work with Clay Hill Farm, Jonathan’s and Angelina’s. The special includes a three-course dinners at $54.50 per person or $109 per couple, plus 8% tax, and does not include tip or bar drinks. The special is available only to guests of Sea Chambers. Guests pay for the special at Sea Chambers, and our staff makes the reservation for you and gives you a voucher to bring to the restaurant. Please contact us if you have any questions. 

Dock ~ Sea Chambers is fortunate to have direct water access, and we have a seasonal floating dock for our guests to use to enter the tidal river. Our dock is to be used at your own risk and follows the dates and hours of our pool area.  

Drying Racks ~ Most of our rooms are equipped with a drying rack for your bathing suits. Rooms with their own designated outdoor seating or balcony may set their racks outside their room door, up against the building. Please do not block the walkways nor hang items on our railings. If you do not have a drying rack, we will supply one upon request.

DVDs ~ All rooms are equipped with DVD players. Our Front Desk has a selection of DVDs to lend on a first come, first served basis.

Electric Cars ~ We have installed overnight charging stations in select spots. Please alert us ahead of your arrival so that we may reserve a spot for you. The cost is $10 per charge.

Extras ~ Extra items, such as towels, pillows, cots, pack’n’plays, etc. may be requested from the Front Desk.

Fire Pits ~ We offer two fire pits located adjacent to our pool area. Click for more information.

Front Desk Hours ~ Our office opens at 8:00am each day. Our office closing time varies by season. The hours are posted outside the office daily, and our closing time will be between 6:00pm and 10:30pm.

Games ~ We have a selection of board games, cards and puzzles available to borrow from our Front Desk on a first come, first served basis.

Gift Certificates ~ Gift certificates are available at the Front Desk or on our website.

Gifts ~ At our Front Desk you can find Sea Chambers themed items, including shirts and hats. We also have items by local photographer, David Sullivan. You may see examples of his work in guest rooms and in common areas around our property.

Guest Lobby ~ Please visit our Guest Lobby between Rooms 9 and 10 in The Oceanside Building. The Guest Lobby contains one of the two staircases to our Upper Level, and is one of two locations for our complimentary continental breakfast, plus 24-hour grind-on-demand coffee machines and a filtered water dispenser. There is also a telephone that guests may use to call on or off property, and to reach us if you are locked out of your room. One of our three ice machines is located just outside the Guest Lobby.

Guest Utility Room ~ Guests staying in The Inn will find many useful amenities in our Guest Utility Room. Take the stairs down between Rooms 501 and 503 to find an ice machine, The Inn Breakfast Room, folding chairs and the laundry room. Laundry facilities are available here for all guests from late April to the end of October, from 9:00am to 7:00pm daily.

Housekeeping ~ Our Housekeeping staff will clean and sanitize your room before your arrival. Daily housekeeping begins at 9:30am and is not available after mid-afternoon. If you need items later in the day, please alert the Front Desk. Guests must leave the room while our Housekeeping staff is working.

Ice Machines ~ We have three ice machines for your convenience. The ice machines can be found on the Main Level and Terrace Level of The Oceanside Building, and in the Guest Utility Room in The Inn.

Internet Access ~ Sea Chambers provides free wireless internet access for our guests. The password will be provided upon check-in.

Iron and Ironing Board ~ Many rooms have these items, but if your room does not, please contact the Front Desk and we will have them delivered to your room. There is also an iron and ironing board in the Guest Utility Room in The Inn for guest use.

Laundry Facilities ~ We offer our guests self-service laundry facilities in the Guest Utility Room in The Inn Building, available from late April to the end of October, from 9:00am to 7:00pm daily. Find the staircase to the Guest Utility Room between Rooms 501 and 503 on the first floor. Coin-operated washers and dryers ($2) are available here, as are supplies ($1). Quarters are available at our Front Desk.

 

 

Mail & Postage ~ Stamps may be purchased at our Front Desk. Outgoing mail may be left at the Front Desk and generally goes out around 1:00pm. The Front Desk will notify guests of any incoming mail. The US Post Office is located just south of Ogunquit Village on Route 1.  If you are having an item delivered to Sea Chambers, please be sure to include the entire address listed below. Guests’ shipments are often returned to the sender when the shipping address is incomplete.

Maintenance ~ If a problem arises, please contact the Front Desk immediately by dialing 0 from your room. If you find a problem after the office has closed for the evening, please alert us when you first wake up in the morning. If the problem needs immediate attention during the night, please contact our Night Manager. Guests must leave the room while our Maintenance staff is working.

Night Manager ~ Our Front Desk closes overnight, but we always have an employee on call for emergencies. If you have an issue that cannot wait until morning, including being locked out of your room or being disturbed during our Quiet Hours, please contact our Night Manager. Contact information is on the front of each room binder and each telephone.

Ogunquit Playhouse ~ We encourage you to see a show at the world-renowned Ogunquit Playhouse during your stay!

Parking ~ Due to limited availability, parking is strictly limited to one vehicle per reservation. Parking passes must be displayed when parked on our property. If you expect to arrive before 3:00pm, please call us that morning to check availability of early parking. On the day of departure, cars must leave the property by noon. If you are moving to the beach for the day, we recommend moving your car by 10:00am in order to find a space.

If you require additional parking, we suggest the following, and we recommend contacting the business prior to your arrival:

    • Hutchins’ Parking Lot, hourly and overnight parking, 207.451.7298, 166 Main Street, south of the Post Office on Route 1.
    • Jonathan’s Restaurant, overnight parking, 207.646.4777, 92 Bourne Lane. Pay at the restaurant, park on Route 1 across from the Meadowmere.
    • New for 2024, the Town of Ogunquit is permitting metered overnight parking at the Main Beach and Lower Lot, from 6:00pm to 8:00am, June 1 through September 30. Please note, Obeds Lot, which is across the street from Sea Chambers does not permit overnight parking. Day parking will be an additional charge in any public lot.
    • There is free overnight parking at the Wells Town Transportation Center, approximately 6.5 miles away, directly across from I-95 Exit 19, in Wells.

Pets ~ Sea Chambers is not a pet friendly property.* Service dogs trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome, and must be registered with our Front Desk staff upon check-in. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort, emotional support or companionship do not qualify as service dogs with public accommodation under federal or Maine state law, and are not allowed at Sea Chambers. Service dogs must be under handler’s control at all times and may not be left in the rooms alone. Guests who disregard our policy will be required to leave immediately without refund, and will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee plus the cost of one night’s rental.

*Our sister property, Studio East, offers limited pet friendly rooms. Studio East is conveniently located downtown by the Leavitt Theatre. You may contact Studio East at 207.646.7297studioeastmotel.com, or reservations@studioeastmotel.com.

Playground ~ There is a great public playground and basketball court just two buildings past our Inn Building on School Street.

Pool ~ Our seasonal ocean view heated outdoor pool and hot tub are available to our registered guests only. Click for more information.

Quiet Hours ~ In order to allow our guests a restful vacation, Sea Chambers has a tradition of quiet hours from 9:00pm to 9:00am each day. Please alert our Front Desk if an issue arises. If guests are disturbed while the Front Desk office is closed, guests should contact our Night Manager and allow us to address the situation.

Reservations ~ You may reserve for later this year with our Front Desk staff or Book Online. You will receive the lowest rates reserving directly with us. You may also tentatively reserve accommodations for next year with our Front Desk staff. Stop in at our office or Contact Us.

Smoking, Vaping and Marijuana ~ In response to customer requests, we have a centrally located smoking area. This garden area with seating and smoking receptacles is located between our Front Desk and Shore Road.

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in our smoking area. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the rooms, decks, pool and fire pit areas, nor while walking around the property.

We have received questions about the legalization of marijuana in Maine. After much consideration, Sea Chambers is not allowing marijuana to be smoked or stored anywhere on our property, due to the pervasive smell.

Guests who disregard these policies will be required to leave immediately without refund, and will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee plus the cost of one night’s rental.

Standard of Conduct ~ Sea Chambers strives to provide its valued guests and employees with a safe environment in which to enjoy their vacation and work. Consistent with our Employee Standard of Conduct, guests are required to conform to standards of reasonable conduct. Any guest involved in the following conduct may be asked to leave the Sea Chambers property and, at the discretion of Sea Chambers, may be refused accommodation in the future.

    • Consistent noise after Quiet Hours
    • Engaging in mistreatment or harassment of other guests or Sea Chambers staff
    • Infringing on other guests’ enjoyment of their vacation
    • Publishing or making false or misleading information or statements
    • Lighting candles or starting any sort of fire anywhere on Sea Chambers property
    • Disregarding Sea Chambers’ smoking, marijuana, pet, parking or other policies

Storage ~ Bicycles, kayaks, etc. may not be taken into the rooms nor kept on the decks. All such items should be stored on your vehicle. Guests staying in The Inn Building may store their luggage in our Guest Utility Room, at their own risk.

Telephone ~ Every guest room is equipped with a telephone that allows our guests to call other rooms, as well as off property. These phones allow free calls to Canada and the continental US. Further phone instructions are in the guest rooms.

We also have phones at each building so that you will be able to reach us if you are locked out of your room during the night. You may find one outside our Front Desk office, one in the Guest Lobby of our Oceanside Building, and one on the first floor of the Inn Building.
